Product Description Aquatech Roof Waterproof is a best in class product which provides protection on roofs and terraces for up to 12 years. Its unique PU Hybrid Technology forms a tougher, more elastic protective film of up to 600-800 microns over porous roof surfaces. The film is highly flexible which bridges cracks of up to 2mm preventing water seepage, carbonation and fungal attacks. The coating has got best in class adhesion and thus can be used on multiple surfaces like brickbat coba, plaster, china chips and mosaic tiles. In order to keep the surface cool during summers the coating also provides Sun Reflect of up to 10 degree Celsius. Application Description • Clean the roof and parapet surface thoroughly as explained above. Apply a self-priming coat of Dulux Aquatech Roof Waterproof over the dried surface by diluting with water up to 30%. • Apply first coat of undiluted Aquatech Roof Waterproof using brush or roller on roof and parapet surface. Allow the surface to dry for 5-6 hours. • Apply the second coat of Dulux Aquatech Roof Waterproof at 90° to the first coat application. • Achieving a proper DFT is very important for water proofing. Therefore, achieve a forced coverage of 8-10 sqft/litre. If forced coverage is not achieved apply an additional coat of Dulux Aquatech Roof Waterproof. • Allow the system to cure for 7 days before carrying out any adhesion tests. • To ensure optimum waterproofing performance, the entire roof including parapets even if it is a joint parapet wall, drainage slope of the roof and sunken floors will be covered with the coating. Extra care needs to be taken in areas with joints and water spouts since any crack or fissure of any nature will give rise to ingress of water which in turn will deter the desired performance of the paint. • Total thickness to be achieved is 600 - 800 microns. Maintenance: • Any horizontal surface will have dirt accumulation. In order to maintain/clean the surface it is essential that only soft cleaning is done. Clean the terrace after 3 months to remove the accumulated dust. • DO NOT use wire brushes or any other hard cleaning tools over the Dulux Aquatech Roof Waterproof painted surface. • Check for adhesion loss after a year. • In areas where adhesion loss occurs, remove the coat extending 1 feet. Follow the regular procedure of roof coating. • Do not use sharp or pointed objects on the coating as they may rip them off. Normal foot traffic is permissible. • Do not use strong bleaching agents or acids to clean the surface. • Overflow pipes for the water tanks need to be grounded properly so as to ensure the proper water runoff from the surface.
