Application Description Step 1: Surface Preparation New concrete/plaster surface should be allowed to mature properly. Ensure that the surface is clean, dry, free from all loose particles, dust, dirt, grease, wax, mould, fungal growth etc. before application and all surfaces should be thoroughly rubbed down using a suitable abrasive paper and thereafter wiped off. Step 2: Application process Prime surface with a coat of cement primer and dry overnight. Smoothen the surface by filling dents with putty. Sand with emery paper and wipe clean. Dilute the paint with 25% - 40% clean water (25-300 for darker shades) and apply 2 coats of Dulux VT Platinum Glo. Step 3: Drying time Touch dry for the paint is 30 minutes and allow 4-6 hours of drying time for recoating. Application Description • Clean the side walls properly as per recommendation. • Apply 1 coat priming of WS alkali Bloc primer/ Dulux Professional WS E1000 Sealer as per recommended dilution or a self-priming coat of Dulux Aquatech Flexible Waterproof basecoat Advance with 30 % dilution. • Post Drying apply 1 coat of Dulux Aquatech Flexible Waterproof basecoat Advance without dilution and allow for 6-8 hrs of drying. • Post Drying apply 2 coats of Dulux Weathershield Powerflexx or Dulux Professional WS Flexx with 30-40 % dilution. • Please ensure 6-8 hours of drying between the 2 coats. Proper film thickness is essential for the water proofing. Therefore, it is important that Dulux Aquatech Flexible Waterproof basecoat Advance Flexx Coverage shouldn’t exceed 30-45 sq. ft/Lit. • If recommended coverage is not achieved additional coat must be applied for desired performance. Its thick, elastomeric super protective film covers cracks of upto 4mm and the strong network of reinforced polymers makes the coating extremely tough and dirt & water resistant. Application Description Clean the roof and parapet surface thoroughly as explained above. Apply a self-priming coat of Dulux Aquatech PU Coat over the dried surface by diluting with water up to 30% followed by 2-3 coats of Dulux Aquatech PU Coat without dilution using a brush or roller. Apply the second coat of Dulux Aquatech PU Coat at 90° to the first coat application. Allow the surface to dry for 5-6 hours for each coat application. Achieving a recommended DFT is very important for water proofing. Therefore, achieve a forced coverage of 8-10 Sqft/litre. If forced coverage is not achieved apply an additional coat of Dulux Aquatech PU Coat.
